Product description
The Sovereign is a boutique series offering single grain whiskies aged for a minimum of 25 years and bottled in single cask, without chill filtration or added colouring agents, always with a natural alcohol content.
It is part of the Hunter Laing & Co. portfolio, founded by Stewart Laing in 2013. In that year, Stewart and his brother Fred split the assets of Douglas Laing & Co., which they had owned for some 40 years. The Cameronbridge 26 Year Old presented here was distilled in October 1991 and aged in a refilled sherry butt no. HL 14752. In February 2018, its contents amounted to 481 bottles. Cameronbridge is, next to Girvan, Scotland's largest grain distillery, with a production capacity of 120 million litres of distillate per year.
