Product description
Some whisky lovers dismiss the single grain category as the “poor relation” of single malts.
We don't want to get into polemics here, but remember that in the last century, there were no sales statistics for the single grain sector, but recently these whiskies have been increasingly featured in the offers of independent publishers. Port Dundas Distillery produced grain distillate from 1845 to 2010; it went into all the major blends from the Diageo portfolio (and previously DCL), such as Johnnie Walker, Bell's and Black & White. The Port Dundas presented here is a proposal from Douglas Laing & Co. in the "Old Particular" series. The whisky distilled in October 2000 spent over 20 years in a DL 15003 refill bourbon barrel. In May 2021, its contents translated into 196 bottles of whisky with an ABV of 51.5%.
