Charles Hamilton Ltd. is a subsidiary of Angus Dundee Distillers, the owners of Glencadam and Tomintoul distilleries and number of blended whisky brands.
In 2012 the company introduced a range of regional single malt whiskies, which included Speyside, Highlands Islay and Lowlands. It was pretty well received and soon single grain and blended malt expressions were added to the range. The latter called the Isles launched in 2017 is a blend of single malts distilled in Scottish islands. The company doesn’t reveal which malts were included in the formula, we can only tell that several islands host distilleries: Arran, Jura, Mull, Skye, Orkney and Islay. The whisky is bottled at 40% abv and without age statement.
