Product description
The original Dunville's Three Crowns Pure Pot Still Whiskey was produced by Dunville & Co. at the Royal Irish Distillery in Belfast between 1837 and 1936.
The second chapter in the brand's history began in 2016 and Shane Braniff, founder and owner of Echlinville Distillery, the first licensed distillery in Northern Ireland in 125 years. Dunville's Three Crowns Peated debuted in late 2019 and is the third edition of this whisky, alongside the PX and Single Malt versions. According to Braniff, "the first two editions were based on the original Dunville's Three Crowns whisky, while this latest one sets the brand's direction in the 21st century." Dunville's Peated Three Crowns is a blended whisky finished in single malt casks with a smoky and peaty profile.
Aroma: fruity and slightly peaty, apples, pears, peaches, toffee, vanilla, honey, cappuccino, notes of hay and oak.
Taste: slightly smoky, apples, gooseberries, blackberries, sweet cereals, toffee, vanilla, a pinch of white pepper and dried herbs.
Finish : medium long, with notes of vanilla, toffee, apples, orange peel, a hint of pepper and a distant trace of smoke.
