Tullamore DEW is a legendary brand of Irish whiskey. It is produced by triple distillation at the Midleton distillery, located in the south of Ireland, near Cork.
The second part of the name, "DEW", are the initials of the Tullamore Dew distillery's general manager, Daniel E. Williams, who worked at the distillery in the 19th century. It is composed of pot still malt and grain distillates. Tullamore DEW Classic is matured for about 4 years in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks to enhance its flavor.
Aroma : light and sweet with notes of citrus, green apple, vanilla, heather honey, caramel cream, malt and hay
Taste : fruity and buttery with notes of raisins, sherry, vanilla, apricots, pears, apples, chocolate, dates and oak
Finish: medium long and buttery with notes of marzipan and vanilla.
