Product description
Tullamore Distillery operated between 1829 and 1954, but the brand survived and has been successful in Central and Eastern Europe for many years.
William Grant & Sons bought the rights in 2010 and built a new distillery over the course of four years. The original Tullamore Dew was a triple-distilled pure pot still whiskey. After the distillery closed, the brand was taken over by Power & Sons and changed its formula to a blend. Tullamore Dew is the second best-selling Irish whiskey after Jameson (just over a million cases a year). The Tullamore Dew Special Reserve presented here is a blend of triple-distilled grain, pot still and malt whiskeys aged in ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 12 years and finished in ex-sherry casks. In 2017, it won a gold medal at The Irish Whiskey Masters.
