Product description
Tullamore Dew, the second most popular Irish whiskey (after Jameson), recorded sales of over 17 million bottles in 2019, which was a 7% increase over the previous year.
The original Tullamore distillery closed in the early 1950s, but the brand survived and in 2010 it became part of the William Grant & Sons portfolio. The new distillery, built in 2014, produces 3.6 million liters of sodium distillate (malt and pot still) per year and 8 million liters of grain distillate (all triple distilled). The "honey" version of Tullamore Dew debuted in 2021 in the Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria and Slovakia. It is the standard Tullamore Dew (a blend of the aforementioned whiskeys) enriched with Czech honey (the Czech Republic is said to have the largest number of beekeepers per km2). The drink is bottled at 35% abv, which puts it outside the whiskey category.
