Jameson Stout Edition Caskmates Series / 40% / 0.7l

Jameson Stout Edition, the first marriage of Jameson whiskey and beer, debuted in 2016 and was met with an extremely favorable market reception.

It was a collaboration between the Midleton Distillery and the Franciscan Well Brewery based in Cork. Barrels of standard Jameson whiskey were sent to the aforementioned brewery, where they were filled with local stout. Once the beer had absorbed the citrus notes of the whiskey and was sent to the bottling plant, the barrels were returned to the distillery, where they were used for the final maturation and, consequently, for the creation of Jameson Stout Edition, a forerunner of the popular Caskmates Series. 

Aroma : coffee beans, malt, hops, Hungarian jam, orange peel, apricots, honey, brown sugar and a handful of herbs.

Palate : milk chocolate, hazelnuts, toffee, caramel, mocha, oranges, grapefruits, apples, notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and oak.

Finish : medium long, with notes of malt, milk chocolate, coffee, a bit of pepper and hops.
