Product description
Flaming Pig is a whiskey from the Malones Whiskey Company portfolio founded by Joey Shore and Flor Prendergast.
The name of the whiskey refers to a fire that broke out in The Liberties in Dublin in 1875, which destroyed around 5,000 barrels of whiskey and spices. The burning whiskey flowed through the streets, threatening the lives of people and their animals. Rumor has it that the terrifying squealing of pigs warned the locals of the spreading danger. Flaming Pig whiskey debuted on March 17, 2014. It is a small batch blend of Irish single grain and single malt whiskeys from West Cork Distilleries and aged for 4 to 10 years. The whiskey spent its final months in re-charred bourbon barrels.
