Product description
It is not known today when exactly the Green Spot brand debuted, but it is certain that it was mentioned in 1920 in the commercial offer of the Mitchell & Sons company, which specializes in the distribution of wines.
Originally distilled at the Jameson Distillery in Dublin and aged for 7 to 10 years in sherry casks. Over time, the range was joined by Yellow Spot (12 years old) and Red Spot (15 years old). Green Spot is currently part of the Pernod Ricard portfolio and is distilled from malted and unmalted barley at the Midleton Distillery. Maturation takes place in first and refill bourbon casks and sherry casks. Green Spot is bottled without an age statement, although the producer claims that the spirits used in the blend have been aged for 7 to 10 years.
Aroma: lots of fruit, apples, plums, pears, orange peel, milk fudge, caramel, honey, traces of walnuts and coconut flakes.
Taste : fruity and spicy, apples, oranges, tangerines, grapes, caramel, honey, breakfast cereals, candied ginger and a delicate note of oak.
Finish : long, malty and fruity, with notes of honey and oak.
