Product description
The sale of Bushmills Distillery to Casa Cuervo in late autumn 2014 left the world’s largest alcoholic beverage producer, Diageo, with no assets in the Irish Whiskey segment.
However, in March 2017, the corporation rejoined the producers of Irish whiskey with the Roe & Co. edition and the announcement of the adaptation of part of the historic Guinness Power House buildings to the needs of the new St James' Distillery. The whiskey presented here is named after George Roe, owner of the largest Irish distillery in the 19th century, whose buildings occupied a 17-acre plot on Thomas Street in Dublin. Today's Roe & Co. is a blended whiskey made from malt and grain distillates aged in bourbon barrels (largely first fill) and bottled at 45% ABV.
