Product description
Single malt Smokehead debuted in 2006 in the Ian Macleod Distillers offering.
The whisky has been well-received by consumers and competes well with other malts from undisclosed Islay distilleries such as Finlaggan and Ileach. Spokesperson Ian Macleod proudly declared that “Smokehead challenges the established order of the whisky world, and the spirit itself and its unusual presentation appeal strongly to the young consumer who is always ready to accept it.” We have heard that the Smokehead brand is a young Ardbeg, but we are unable to verify this information. The Extra Rare edition presented here is available exclusively from Travel Retail; it is blended using spirits matured in sherry casks.
