Bowmore Dawn (Port Casked) / 51.5% / 0.7l

Bowmore Dawn debuted in 2001 and was a sequel to Voyage.

Both whiskies were finished in pipe port barrels. While Voyage was a one-off limited edition to 12,000 bottles, Dawn remained in the company's core range until 2007. For about two years, the whisky matured in port barrels and was bottled without an age statement at 51.5% ABV.

Nose : slightly winey, a hint of peat smoke, red berries, lavender, heather, seaweed and orange peel.

Palate: rich, fruity and winey, toffee, brown sugar, strawberries, black cherries, cloves and nutmeg.

Finish: fruity and spicy, slightly smoky with a delicate oak bitterness.
