Bowmore Voyage debuted in 2000, shortly after the incredible success of the Claret edition.

After the basic maturation period, the whisky was transferred to port barrels to take two years to finish. Voyage, like Claret, was bottled at 56% ABV and, like Claret, 12,000 bottles were released. The beautiful label shows a sailing ship sailing across Loch Indaal with a cargo of barrels filled with Bowmore whisky.

Aroma : sweet and fruity, toffee, chocolate, dried dates and in the distance peat smoke.  

Palate: slightly winey, richness of ripe and dried fruit, vanilla, chocolate, sweet spices, oak and peat smoke in the background.

Finish: medium long, warming and spicy, caramel with grains of sea salt.
