Product description
Robert Burns (1759-1796), Scottish poet and bard, was a great whisky lover. His love for the drink is best expressed in his "Ode to Scotch Drink" written in 1785.
The original Robbie Burns Famed Old Scotch whisky debuted in the early 1960s as a proposal from the now defunct RH Thompson & Co. Ltd. This whisky was never recognized by the World Burns Federation, an honor that was bestowed upon Arran Distillery in 2000, which took over the association's lifetime patronage. The Robert Burns brand today includes a single malt and the blended whisky presented here, the core of which is of course Arran single malt. "Here is the bottle and the loyal friend," as the poet stated in 1787.
