Product description
Talisker Distillery was built in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill.
It is based on Skye, the largest and most northerly of the Inner Hebrides. Despite its location, the distillery is one of the most visited in Scotland, with 60,000 whisky lovers passing through every year. Talisker single malt remained largely unknown until 1988, when then-owner United Distillers included a 10-year-old version in the original Classic Malts series. Talisker currently ranks eighth in single malt whisky sales, with over 3.3 million bottles sold annually (2021). Talisker Surge joined the Travel Retail offering in September 2022. The whisky was matured in refill casks and finished in bourbon barrels.
