Product description
For most whisky lovers, Orkney is known as the Highland Park Distillery, while the humble Scapa has been operating nearby since 1885.
In 2005, it became the property of Chivas Bros., a Pernod Ricard company, and after a major renovation, it is now operating at full capacity. The distillery is equipped with one pair of stills, and uses a Lomond still for the first distillation. Scapa Glansa debuted in August 2016, as the distillery's second new offering after Skiren. It was composed of distillates aged in bourbon barrels and finished in barrels that had previously matured smoked-peated whisky. "Glansa" loosely translates to "the sky before the storm".
