Product description
Jura Two-One-Two 13 years old debuted in 2019 as the first whisky in a series celebrating the 212 residents of the island of Jura and its distillery.
The whisky, distilled in 2006, was aged in American white oak bourbon barrels and finished in Chinkapin oak barrels. (Chinkapin, Quercus Muehlenbergii, is a variety of American white oak that grows in the northeastern states and the Ozark Mountains in Missouri.) Kirsteen Beeston, who is responsible for marketing single malts for Jura’s owner Whyte & Mackay, highlighted the role of the island’s residents in promoting Jura’s single malt, which has seen sales increase by 150% over the past decade, reaching 1.7 million bottles in 2018. The release consisted of 6,000 bottles.
