Product description
Tenjaku Whisky is a product of Minami Alps Wine & Beverage Company Ltd.
It has been operating since 2012 as a subsidiary of Toukuoka Co. Ltd. (founded in 1874) based in Fuefuki, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of the largest wine importers and distributors. The Tenjaku formula was developed by Kenji Wanatabe, a legendary blender with a huge reputation among wine and whisky producers. Unfortunately, we do not know its components and although most of them were probably distilled outside Japan, the blending process was carried out in Fuefuki using local water, the intake of which is located at 250 meters. The word "Tenjaku" written in Japanese characters means lark.
Nose: sweet cereals, brown sugar, pears, dried apples, notes of hay and pine needles and a fading trace of smoke.
Taste: slightly alcoholic, caramel, vanilla, apples, pears, a pinch of white pepper, notes of hay and oak shavings.
Finish : not too long, sweet, with notes of breakfast cereal, caramel, candy, a bit of hay and oak.
