Product description
Less than three years ago, Eigashima Shuzo celebrated the 100th anniversary of obtaining the whisky production license (1919). However, it would take another 40 years before the aforementioned certificate was confirmed in practice.
Eigashima Shuzo has been operating since 1888, in its current location, the town of Akashi, about 30 km from Kobe, since 1984. Its main source of income is sake and shōchu, while whisky is produced seven months of the year. Today, the Akashi brand includes both single malt and blended whisky. In both cases, the company does not shy away from finishing maturations. The Akashi Takumi presented here represents blends, and was finished in sherry casks.
