- Kirin 50º is a standard blended whisky produced by Fuji Gotemba Distillery. The distillery was built in 1973 as a joint venture between Kirin and Seagram and since 2001 it’s wholly owned by Kirin.

Kirin 50º is a standard blended whisky produced at Fuji Gotemba Distillery. The distillery was created as a joint venture between Japanese Kirin and Canadian Seagram, and has been owned exclusively by Kirin since 2001.
The plant is equipped with two pairs of stills and three distillation columns and produces both malt and grain whisky. Kirin 50º is blended from distillates produced on site in the proportion of 50% grain , 50% malt , aged in bourbon barrels from Four Roses Distillery, which also belongs to Kirin. A small part of the malt whisky used in the blending process spent 20 years in barrels. Kirin 50º is available only in Japan.
Aroma: floral, delicate notes of vanilla, green apples, sweet cereals and oak chips.
Taste: malty, slightly spicy, milk fudge, apples, grapes and young oak.
Finish: not too long, slightly alcoholic with a bitterness of oak.
