Product description
Jura is the only distillery operating on the island from which it takes its name, equipped with two pairs of stills, it can produce 2.4 million litres of distillate per year.
At the turn of the century, local whisky sales were approaching 300,000 bottles a year, and its quality left something to be desired. Repouring most of the stock into fresh American oak barrels increased sales to 2 million bottles within 15 years, making Jura the fifth most popular single malt in the UK. Jura One and All is a nod to the island’s inhabitants (population 200), a 20-year-old whisky blended from bourbon, sherry, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir casks. The edition consisted of 5,000 bottles and hit the market in September 2017.
