Product description
Talisker Wilder Seas is another limited edition released in partnership with Parley for the Oceans (the first was the 44-year-old Forest of the Deep from 2022).
Talisker Distillery is one of the sponsors of this organization, which deals with the study and protection of ocean flora. This time it is a whisky without an age statement, finished (for the first time in the distillery's history) in XO cognac barrels and bottled at 48.6% abv. The edition consisted of 17,940 bottles and Talisker pays three pounds for each one to the organization's account, which totals over 500,000 pounds. The bottles are made from 100% recycled glass, and the presentation cardboard and label have also been abandoned. Only the necks of the bottles are wrapped in paper, in this case made from recycled paper.
Nose : slightly smoky, sea salt and seaweed, barley malt, salted caramel, toffee, burnt toast, prunes and figs, white pepper, traces of damp earth and gravel.
