Product description
While Kurayoshi Distillery began distilling whisky in 2017, the Kurayoshi brand debuted two years earlier with a blended malt edition composed of Scottish and local distillates.
Currently, three whiskies are offered under the Matsui brand: Sakura Cask, Mizunara Cask and The Peated, the first of which seems the most unusual. Sakura is a Japanese cherry, which in the culture of this country (the Rising Sun) embodies the elegance and beauty of life. Matsui Sakura Cask is probably the only whisky matured in barrels made of Japanese cherry. The maturation period lasted no longer than three years, and the whisky was bottled at 48% abv. On the label we see reproductions of the work "Beauty in a Cherry Blossom Garden" by Kikukawa Eizan.
