Product description
In the fall of 2015, Nikka Distilling Company withdrew its age-stated single malts from its offering, leaving only the so-called NAS versions and the promise of limited age-stated releases.
The decision was motivated by the lack of stock, which had to wait several years to be rebuilt. At the end of 2022, the company's spokesman announced the return to the market of Yoichi 10 years old, once the most popular version of this single malt. Built in 1934, Yoichi Distillery is based on the island of Hokkaido. Masataka Taketsuru chose this location because both the climate and the terrain resembled Scotland, where he had previously learned the art of whisky production. Today, Yoichi, equipped with 6 stills, produces about 2 million liters of distillate per year.
