Product description
Bottle No. 7, 100 / 276
Famous Grouse 40 years old, the oldest and rarest version of this whisky, debuted in August 2013.
Its creator was Gordon Motion, the master blender of Famous Grouse, who used four sherry casks in his creation. The entire edition consisted of 276 hand-engraved decanters by Timorous Beasties, each fitted with a silver stopper and presented in an elegant wooden box. The whole was complemented by a booklet describing the history of both the Famous Grouse brand and the whisky presented here, as well as a certificate of authenticity signed by Gordon Motion. Famous Grouse 40 years old won several prestigious awards, including a gold medal at the International Spirit Challenge 2013 and an award for the most interesting presentation. (Producer's tasting note.)
