Dewar's 8-year-old Portuguese Smooth Port Cask Finish / 40% / 0.7l
- Dewar’s is one of the most recognizable Scotch whisky brands and America’s best-selling Scotch.
Product description
Dewar's is one of the most popular Scottish blends, and has been the number 1 Scotch whisky on the American market for years.
Recently, the brand's sales have fallen slightly (in 2020, it was 2.6 million cases), to which the owner responded by "rejuvenating" it and expanding its offer in the premium segment. Dewar's Portuguese Smooth is one of the latest creations of blending master Stephanie Mcleod, and the third in a series of "finishes" of this blend (previously Rum Cask Finish and Mezcal Cask Finish). This 8-year-old whisky has spent the last four months in ruby port barrels and hit the market in early spring 2021. The Dewar's blend formula lists around 40 single malts, the key ones being Aberfeldy and Craigellachie.
