Teacher's is one of Scotland's oldest blends, the famous Teacher's Highland Cream debuted in 1884, a few years after the death of company founder William Teacher, and was an immediate success.
Less than a hundred years later, its sales on the British market exceeded the magic number of one million cases per year, which translated into a 16% market share. Today, Teacher's ranks 14th in the statistics of the best-selling Scottish blends with a result of almost 1.6 million cases per year. Since 2014, Teacher's whisky has been in the portfolio of the Bram Suntory concern.
Nose: cereals, barley malt, freshly cut grass, caramel, a little honey, walnuts, buttered toast and a distant hint of smoke.
Palate: sweet breakfast cereals, hay, buttered toast, peanut butter, caramel, toffee, traces of peat and oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of cereal, brown sugar, toffee, nuts, oak and a light smoke in the background.
