Chivas Regal 12 years /unpacked/ 40% / 0.7l
Product description
Chivas Regal debuted in 1909, 16 years after the death of Alexander, the last of the Chivas line, as a 25-year-old blended whisky, formulated by the company’s master blender, Charles Howard.
It was immediately hailed as the “first luxury Scotch blend” for the upper echelons of society on both sides of the Atlantic. After World War I, Chivas Regal returned as a 12-year-old blend and remains a key part of the core range to this day. Today, its formula is built around the single malt Strathisla, with other key ingredients including Tormore, Braeval and Allt-a-Bhainne, and Longmorn as a flavour enhancer. The main grain whisky supplier is Pernod Ricard’s Strathclyde Distillery. With annual sales of 4.4 million cases, Chivas Regal is one of the leaders in the premium blend segment.
