Product description
In 2019, Bacardi blender Stephanie MacLeod developed a new Dewar's offering, featuring whiskies that have undergone a four-stage maturation process. Its highlight is the 21-year-old Double Double presented here. The first phase involves aging the individual malt and grain components in traditional oak barrels; in the second, the separately blended malt and grain whiskies are placed in new barrels; in the next phase, after all the components have been mixed, they are placed (as a finished blend) in another set of barrels, and finally the finish is made in Oloroso sherry barrels.
Dewar's is a Scottish whisky brand that was founded by John A. Dewar Jr. and Thomas "Tommy" Dewar, becoming a global market leader by 1896. Dewar's is known for its double-aging process, which gives the whisky an exceptional smoothness and richness of flavor. The Dewar's portfolio includes Dewar's 12 Years Old, Dewar's 15 Years Old, Dewar's White Label, Dewar's 18 Years Old and Dewar's 25 Years Old. The brand is currently owned by Bacardi Ltd., which acquired it in 1998.
