Product description
In the summer of 2018, Wm Grant & Sons completely changed the core offering of its Grant's blended whisky.
The premier version for decades, Grant's Family Reserve, has been renamed Grant's Triple Wood (the whisky formula has not changed), and Grant's Rum Cask Finish, Grant's 8 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish and Grant's Triple Wood Smoky have joined the lineup. Grant's Triple Wood components are aged in three types of casks - virgin oak, American oak and refill bourbon casks. Grant's is currently the third best-selling Scotch whisky (4.5 million cases), behind Johnnie Walker (18.3 million cases) and Ballantine's (6.9 million cases).
Nose : roasted grains, oatmeal, apples, pears, walnuts, croutons, hayloft and oak shavings.
Palate: cereal, toffee, vanilla, apples, buttered toast, a pinch of pepper and lemongrass and a light bitterness of oak.
Finish : not too long, with notes of vanilla, oak, cereal and a trace of smoke in the background.
