Product description
Chivas Regal Ultis XX (Ultis is a combination of the English "ultimate" and the Latin "fortis" and means "ultimate strength") is, as we read in a press release, "the ultimate achievement in the art of blending, the heart and soul of Chivas Regal."
Its formula features five 20-year-old single malts and one grain whisky, each bringing a distinct element to the aromatic and flavour palette: Strathisla, a subtle fruity and malty sweetness; Tormore, a rich citrus and orange; Longmorn, a vanilla custard and toffee sweetness; Allt-a-Bhainne, a delicate spiciness; Braeval, floral tones; and finally, the single grain Strathclyde, which ties it all together with a complex sweetness. Ultis XX is the creation of Chivas Master Blender Sandy Hyslop, paying homage to the five previous masters responsible for the Chivas Regal that it is today: Charles Howard, Charles Julian, Allan Baille, Jimmy Lang and Colin Scott.
