Product description
100 Pipers blended whisky debuted in the US in 1965 and was Seagram's challenge to the then extremely popular Cutty Sark.
Americans didn't quite listen to "The Hundred Bagpipers", but the people of Asia did, a few decades later, and to this day this whisky is extremely popular in Thailand and India. Its name recalls a Scottish ballad praising the courage of Charles Edward Stewart (Bonnie Prince Charlie), whose army was accompanied by a hundred bagpipers. Currently, the brand belongs to the Pernod Ricard group and is 17th in sales statistics (in 2021, it recorded sales of 1.3 million cases). The 8-year-old presented here is a blended malt version of this whisky. Its key components are Allt-a-Bhainne, Glen Keith and Braeval.
