Product description
Black & White is one of the most popular blends of the last century, although current sales are less than 1.5 million cases per year.
It is the creation of James Buchanan, one of the pioneers of the blended whisky sector. Presented in a black bottle with a white label and served in the British Parliament, it was officially called House of Commons, but consumers called it Black & White, which name would soon become official. In the 1990s, Buchanan himself developed the whisky logo by placing two terriers in it - a black Scottish and a white Highland. Today, Black & White is not available on the British market, but is popular in countries of South Africa, Latin America and India. The content of malt whisky in the current formula is minimal.
Nose: slightly cereal, oatmeal cookies, croutons, unripe citrus, apple peel and a fleeting trace of peat.
Taste: slightly oily, green grapes, bananas, vanilla, toffee, cereals, traces of peat and oak.
Finish : not too long, grainy with notes of vanilla, citrus, oak and peat.
