Ballantine's 10-year-old / 40% / 0.7l
- Ballantine’s 10 years old was introduced in the fall of 2021 and marketed as ‘American Barrel’.
Product description
Ballantine's 10 years old debuted in the fall of 2021 with an addition in the name "American Barrel".
It was composed of components aged in barrels made from it, in which the finished blend was also finished, and it was advertised as "a combination of Scottish character with the sweetness of American oak". Just two years later, another 10-year-old hit the market, this time probably without the finishing element. The key components of Ballantine's blends are Glenburgie malts, Miltonduff, Glentauchers and to a lesser extent Scapa, while most of the grain whisky is supplied by Strathclyde Distillery. Ballantine's is the permanent vice-leader of Scotch whisky sales statistics, in 2022 it found buyers 9.2 million cases.
