Product description
Ardmore Distillery, based in Aberdeenshire (Highlands), is an investment of William Teacher & Sons dating back to the late 19th century.
Its task was to produce malt whisky for the creation of family blends. In the years 1955-1974 the plant expanded, initially the number of stills was increased to four, eventually to eight. Ardmore, as the only distillery in the region, consistently distills from malt with a concentration of phenol compounds of 12-14 ppm; the annual sales of the brand currently amount to around 700 thousand bottles. The whisky presented here, distilled in July 2011, after basic maturation in traditional oak barrels, finished in a Marsala barrel no. 9405. Bottled in 2021 at 51.5% abv and without cold filtration by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. in the popular The Cooper's Choice series in an edition of 324 bottles.
