Product description
The Aberfeldy Distillery was founded by brothers John and Tommy Dewars between 1896 and 1898 in the Scottish village of the same name, located in Perthshire (southern Highlands). Although the whisky from this distillery is the malt base of Dewar's blends, it did not become widely available as a single malt until the early 21st century.
The characteristic profile of Aberfeldy is shaped by the water drawn from the Pitilie Burn spring, which gives the distillate a soft and mellow character. In 2014, Travel Retail debuted a new edition – the classic 12-year-old Aberfeldy single malt, created from distillates matured mainly in barrels of white American oak.
Aberfeldy 12 Year Old is an ideal choice for beginners due to its smoothness and accessible profile, but is also appreciated by connoisseurs for its harmonious sweetness and complex character. It tastes great both on its own and with a few drops of water added to enhance its delicate nuances.
