Royal Oak Distillery, originally Walsh Whiskey Distillery, opened in 2016.
Three years later, the Italian company Illva Saronno, which owned 50% of the shares, took full control of the distillery and changed its name to Royal Oak Distillery. The distillery is equipped with three stills and one distillation column and produces three types of whiskey – single malt, single pot still and single grain. The Busker Triple Cask presented here is a blended whiskey made with a high proportion of single malt and single pot still distillates aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry barrels from Jerez, Spain and Sicilian Marsala barrels.
