Product description
Wm Grant & Sons is one of the very few companies, which started as distillers before making their fortune as blenders.
William Grant started distillation in Glenfiddich Distillery in 1887, five years later opened Balvenie Distillery and soon after launched his blended whisky brand, Grant’s Standfast, using the clan’s battle cry “Stand fast Craigellachie!” in its name. In 1963 the company built their own grain whisky distillery Girvan in Ayrshire, which after several upgrades produces 120 million liters of spirit per annum. In 2021 the Grant’s brand sold 4.1 million cases worldwide and was the third best-selling blended Scotch. The 7 years old expression presented here was bottled in the 1980s for the Japanese market.
