Product description
Old St. Andrews debuted in 1970 in golf ball-shaped bottles. Initially intended exclusively for export, its popularity grew significantly in the mid-1980s.
Thanks to Denis Thatcher, husband of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who has been photographed several times with a 50ml bottle of the whisky. The marketing of Old St. Andrews whisky is of course based on its presentation; it is often a bonus for golf tournament prizes. Recently, the company has changed the packaging a bit, in the current shape of the bottle is much more prominent. The current Old St. Andrews whisky range includes three blended malts and the Clubhouse Blended Scotch presented here, described by the producer as a whisky with a "rich and fruity palette".
