Johnnie Walker Black Label Triple Cask Edition was introduced in the summer of 2018 as Travel Retail exclusive.
This limited edition is inspired by the lighter flavors and aromas found in the iconic Johnnie Walker Black Label. The whisky was developed by Jim Beveridge, the long-time Johnnie Walker master blender, with help of expert blender Chris Clark. Black Label Triple Cask has been crafted using a blend of malt and grain whiskies from distilleries such as Cardhu, Strathmill, Blair Athol (malt content around 30%) and Cameronbridge and has been finished in casks previously used to mature American bourbon, then Scotch whisky and finally Caribbean pot still rum.
Nose: light and sweet, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, dried apricots and dates, honeyed nuts, dash of cinnamon and fading hint of smoke.
Palate: breakfast cereals with honey, toffee, vanilla, coconut flakes, prunes, white pepper, cinnamon, hints of licorice and oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of toffee, salted caramel, sweet cereals, orange peel, pepper, cinnamon, oak and faint hint of ash.
