Product description
Arran Distillery, an investment by Harold Currie, began operation in August 1995. Arran single malt debuted three years later and was met with a warm reception from the market.
The first single cask edition appeared in 2002 and in the following years we have seen dozens of similar ones, usually finished in different types of barrels. Red wines from Burgundy are produced almost exclusively from the pinot noir grape. The Arran presented here was initially aged in standard American white oak barrels and then "finished" in a Premier Cru Burgundy barrel for an unspecified period of time. Bottled in April 2006 at cask strength (56.5% abv) in an edition of 307 bottles.
