Product description
Yushan is a proposal from Taiwanese Nantou Distillery, a whisky producer since 2008.
The plant was built in 1978 by the TTL (Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation) conglomerate, owner of two breweries and seven distilleries, for the production of fruit wines and brandies. The distillery is equipped with two pairs of stills and, due to the hot and humid climate, distills whisky only from October to April. Yushan single malt is distilled from malt imported from Scotland, and its name refers to the highest peak in Taiwan, Jade Mountain, which is 3,952 meters above sea level. Yushan single malt debuted with the Signature Bourbon Cask and Signature Sherry Cask versions. Its third version is the "Smoky" edition presented here.
