Kavalan Solist Fino Sherry Cask / 58,6% / 0,7l

The Kavalan brand debuted in 2008 and immediately won the hearts of whisky connoisseurs around the world.

The producer of the drink is the Yuan Shan Distillery, built in the northern part of Taiwan in 2005-2006. The humid and hot climate of the island accelerates the maturation of distillates, but significantly increases the so-called angel's share, up to 12% per year. The Solist series consisting of single cask editions debuted in 2009 and drew the world's attention to Taiwanese whisky. The Solist presented here is a whisky aged in a Fino sherry barrel no. FI 130528019A and bottled at barrel strength (58.6% abv) in an edition of 332 liter bottles. Fino Sherry, the lightest in color and the driest of all sherries from Jerez, is produced from the Palomino grape variety. In 2019, Kavalan Solist Fimo Cask won a silver medal at the International Spirit Challenge.

Aroma : toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, mango, bananas, cherries, orange zest, cinnamon buns, white pepper, notes of tobacco and oak.

Palate: oranges, grapefruits, mango, caramel, vanilla, milkshake, mocha, roasted peanuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, pinch of pepper and oak.

Finish: long, with notes of orange peel, apricot, toffee, salted caramel, nuts and a hint of cinnamon.
