The One Fine Blended Whiskey / 46.6%/ 0.7l

The One is a portfolio of whiskies built in 2014 by Paul Currie Lakes Distillery (Paul is the son of Harold Currie, founder and owner of the Arran distillery).

The distillery is located in the picturesque Lake District in southwest England and produces gin, vodka and whisky. It is also one of the most visited distilleries, with around 100,000 drink lovers visiting each year. The One Fine Blended Whisky debuted in 2019. It is a blend of its own single malt whisky and distillates from the Highlands, Islay and Speyside regions. The components were selected by Lakes Distillery master distiller Dhavall Gandhi.

Nose: nicely balanced, caramel, toffee, peaches, apples, plums, honey, a pinch of white pepper and a bit of smoke in the background.

Taste : mild, sweet cereals, honeyed nuts, vanilla, caramel, trail mix, a touch of pepper and cinnamon and delicate smoky notes.

Finish : medium long, with notes of honey, caramel, roasted peanuts, licorice and smoke in the background.
