Product description
Yushan is a whisky from the portfolio of Taiwanese Nantou Distillery founded in 1978 and producing whisky since 2008.
The plant belongs to the TTL (Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation) conglomerate, which owns two breweries and seven distilleries. It is equipped with two pairs of stills and, due to the hot and humid climate, distills whisky only from October to April. The local single malt debuted under the name Omar, and has recently been released as Yushan (its name refers to the highest peak in Taiwan, Jade Mountain, which is 3,952 meters above sea level). Under the Yushan brand, two single malt whiskies are released, Yushan Signature Bourbon Cask and Yushan Signature Sherry Cask, and one blended malt.
