Product description
The history of Dictador rum begins in 1751, when Severo Arango Ferro arrived in Cartagena de Indias to control and strengthen trade between Spain and its overseas colony.
Thanks to his knowledge and strength, he quickly gained the nickname Dictador. Charmed by the taste and elegance of the rum he produced, he became the largest producer and seller of this drink. 160 years later, in 1913, Dictador's descendant founded the Destileria Columbiana company, becoming the best rum producer in the Caribbean region after many years. The third generation of the Arango family created the Dictador Europe project, starting the international expansion of this brand.
Dictador 20 is made from the fermentation of fresh cane sugar and honey, distilled partly in a copper still and partly in a steel column to achieve a midi rum. It is aged in used oak barrels using the solera method. Bottled under the highest quality control to ensure that all the secrets are contained in the taste. Dictador 20YO is a rum with an intense dark amber color. In the mouth it is very soft and round, with aftertastes of caramel, vanilla, cocoa and honey.
