Gosling's Black Seal is a dark rum from Bermuda, known to rum lovers since 1806.
Its name comes from the black wax used to seal the bottle closure in early editions. It is recommended as an excellent base for cocktails, especially the classic Dark 'n' Stormy, a mixture of dark rum and ginger beer. Available in both the classic form, with 40% alcohol, and in the overproof form. The number 151 on the label refers to the American proof system, and corresponds to an alcohol content of 75.5%. This version is especially suitable for cocktails. Goslling's Black Seal 151 debuted in 2005.
Nose : Rich and well-balanced. Notes of vanilla, caramel and fudge.
Taste : Expressive, heavy, with notes of caramel, vanilla and spices.
Finish: Long, sweet.
