Product description
In the early September 2020 BenRiach Distillery unveiled four new expressions, as part of the newly revamped core range.
The range is designed to showcase three different whisky styles offered by the distillery – classic Speyside, peated Speyside (produced for 5-6 weeks each year) and triple distilled (produced for no more than 2 weeks each year). All whiskies in the range were created by Rachel Barrie, the company master blender and are presented in new packaging, inspired by the first ever official bottling of Benriach (Original Ten) from 1994. BenRiach The Original ten was matured in a combination of bourbon barrels, sherry casks and virgin oak casks for a minimum of 10 years.
Nose: fresh and fruity, apples, pears, peaches, sultanas, candied orange peel, vanilla, butterscotch, honey and a dash of cinnamon.
Palate: soft, vanilla cream, toffee, golden syrup, baked apples and pears, raisins, nectarines, pound cake, dash of white pepper and nutmeg.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla cream, roasted peanuts, ripe summer fruit, dash of mixed spice and oak.
