Product description
Rebel Yell debuted in the Southern States in 1936. It was a wheated bourbon from the Stitzel-Weller distillery, billed as “the epitome of the South.”
Until 1984, Rebel Yell was available only in the South, and its local success led to its expansion into the Yankee states. In 1999, the brand was acquired by the David Sherman Company (now Luxco, Inc.), based in St. Louis, Missouri (the company completed its own distillery, Lux Row Distillery in Bardstown, in 2018). The debut of Rebel Yell 100 in April 2019 coincided with the brand’s redesign. Luxco doesn’t disclose where this wheated bourbon comes from, most likely from Heaven Hill’s Bernheim Distillery.
